OBJECTIVE

  • Duties:

    • Obtain approval to launch Narateen group meetings from the World Service Narateen Committee by creating and implementing Guidelines and a Safety Handbook that fulfils the requirements of both WS and the State of CA

      • This committee must also  manage CA State background check requirements as required by the CA Dept. of Justice

    • Launch group meetings once requirements are met

    • Pursue outreach efforts with the goal of expanding and improving the presence  of Narateen within the SoCal region and throughout the fellowship

Next Committee Meeting date:

  • ** The SoCal Narateen Committee has scheduled two Zoom conferences on Sat 9/24/22 and Wed 9/28/22 to answer any Q&A for anyone who might be interested in volunteering to be an Adult Facilitator for Narateen meetings in our area ... please CLICK HERE for more information **

Everyone is invited to attend this meeting without any obligation to join the committee.

  • Even if you attended the Feb meeting, please join one of these meetings as we will likely begin voting on items like officer positions and possibly a launch date

    • Regular meetings have been temporarily suspended as we are still in a holding-pattern as we await approval from the CA State Dept. of Justice for a background check account so that we can operate legally as a volunteer organization for minors.  Until that time, meetings will only be called as needed as it is very difficult to proceed past this point without the approval.
The Narateen Committee meeting is open to all Nar-Anon members
